The climate in Cyprus is one of the mildest in Europe with an average of 74% sunshine and an average yearly temperature of 19C. So this is the place to be if you are looking for sunshine.

The summer is warm and humid, starting usualy mid May and ending mid October. The warmest months are July, August with an average temperature of 32C. Don't forget your sun protection, such as sunscreen and a broad-brimmed hat. During the summer months Cyprus is dominated by anticyclonic high pressure systems that push up from North Africa. They bring clear blue skies and high temperatures and a SW breeze of about 4-5 Beaufort, that usualy picks up around 12.00 mid-day and dies down aroun sunset. This is quite stable during summer.

Winter is mild and lasts from November until end of Febury. The coldest months are Janury and Febury with an average temperature of 14C. It usually snows during these two months at Troodos mountain. The weather in winter is more unpredictable ranging from sunny days, rainy days, gale wind days to perfectly warm windless days.
